This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income school district, I want to provide all I can for my students to have the most memorable educational experience. Our students come from very diverse backgrounds. We have over 1100 students in our school, over 75% of which receive free or reduced-price lunch. Over half of our student body is Latino and we have an extremely large ESL population. The students who attend my school are hard-working and even though most of our students come from economically disadvantaged households this does not stop them from giving their best each and every day.
Help me provide my students with supplies for our Cricut so they can add personal flair to their work, giving them ownership, a sense of pride while learning a skill that will last a lifetime.
Giving my students the opportunity to create products on our Cricut machine will give them a sense of pride and skills that will last a lifetime. Thanks to the generosity of the Donors Choose community we are so fortunate to have a Cricut in our classroom. I am requesting a heat machine, adhesive vinyl and cardstock so that my students can let their imaginations run wild. These supplies will be used in my classroom and all over the school to help make our learning environment and school home more positive, engaging and welcoming. The possibilities are truly endless.
