Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at the school are one-of-a-kind. They love school just as much as the next child. The one thing that many of the students look forward to is coming to school as a way to escape reality for a little while. My students come from low, socio-economic status, inner-city, and struggle with reading, math, science, history, and social skills. I need to do all I can, during school hours, to help these students progress to well-developed, smart young men and women who can function effectively in the world we live in today. To effectively teach students in a wide range of levels, I need many resources. Help me bring in the necessary materials to help my students succeed in school.
The majority of the students at the school come from low-economic households.
Students and parents do not have the financial means to provide essentials and we need to help students achieve greatness.
My Project
This is something we have been thinking about for a while. How can we make money to support our team sports program at our school.
We decided that with a cricut we can print out items such as shirts, bags, cups and much more and sell them as a way to help offset the cost of sports at our school.
Students who participate in sports have a better attitude on school and academics. Students need a way to let off steam after school hours. Sports is something that makes this happen. Not having to charge for sports is also something that this cricut will help support.
