My Project

Every year our 2nd graders spend three weeks researching, writing, and refining a writing project about an animal and its habitat. It's a major undertaking with four to five sentences for each of the six subjects required to "be an animal expert." Once their writing is complete, they get to make a creature out of air dry clay, and create the habitat, food, water and shelter that they have researched for their animal.

This year, our funding isn't there for the art supplies portion of this month-long project.

We're hoping Donors Choose can help us out with the clay and boxes, we can take care of the other art supply items to make this happen.
