Creativity With a Purpose: Using 3D Pens in Our iCenter

My students need the 3D pens and filament to use their imaginations to "dream" up creative models and designs.

My Students

My students are actively engaged as they seek to build and learn collaborative teamwork skills. My students are full of imagination, innovative ideas and creativity.

They ask intriguing questions and are always wondering "how" and "why." They seek to make connections and make sense of the world around them.

My students are risk takers. They are learning to implement the design process and reflect on their design to revise and make improvements. My students are excited and motivated to create!

My Project

The 3D Pens and filament will allow my 3rd, 4th & 5th graders to use their imagination in order to bring their 2 dimensional drawing designs to life. Students will be able to collaborate and learn from each other.

They will be able to practice life skills such as patience, perseverance and critical thinking as they learn what is takes to successfully make a 3D model.

They will also be able to use their knowledge of shape and balance because 3D designs involve "layering" and forming from the bottom up and inside out. Students will feel empowered to create!

These tools will be a wonderful addition to our MakerSpace area in our iCenter.
