My students come from some of the toughest backgrounds and conditions, but do not let this deter them from accomplishing their goals. Just this time last year, many of my students were displaced from their homes due to Hurricane Harvey. Even though this devastating storm had us in temporary home/schools, my students still stayed resilient and had a successful school year. We had some of the biggest gains in testing this year even through the adversity we faced. I’m so proud of them!
My Project
My students work best through technology. Having these Amazon tablets will increase attention and heighten class performance. Throughout the school year I noticed that some of the best work created by my students was products of technology. Due to only having desktops, our students were limited in completing various activities. Amazon tablets will increase my students creativity and keep them focused on learning as well. I want my students to have Amazon tablets available to feel like they are at “home” and comfortable in a classroom setting. Also using these Amazon tablets in centers and playing games whole group such as Kahoot! Will involve greater class participation.
