Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in a farming based border town in Southern Arizona. We are also home to a military base. Many of our students come from migrant families with a low socioeconomic status, but that doesn't make them any less eager to learn!

My Project

My classroom is filled with a diverse group of students that are eager to investigate and experiment. My goal is to provide a variety of opportunities for my students to show their creativity through collaboration and real world applications.

Our school is an AVID school working towards preparing our young students for college readiness.

We also have a strong focus on providing our students with STEAM based project opportunities.

The Sphero Mini would enable me to teach coding to my students and to help develop their problem solving skills with the hope of creating an interest in technology and STEAM based careers. Coding projects will also enable my students to learn the importance of teamwork through collaboration, helping to create a solid foundation for their communication skills.
