My Students

I work in an after school program at a children's center, located in Redondo Beach, California. I work with the kindergarten class.

Some of my students only attend the after school program and I would love to add spark into my class.

I think my students will benefit from kindergarten level books, and they will also benefit from music and movements books and sensory material.

Books create warm emotional bonds between adults and kids when they read books together.

Books help kids develop basic language skills and profoundly expand their vocabularies—much more than any other media. Books develop critical thinking skills.

I have limited space. I also need a cart to place my things on to be mobile. It would be great to have enrichment resources.

Books having calming effect on students. Its a great brain break and it's the best tool for cognitive development.

My Project

My project will assist in providing the tools for my class to learn and gain knowledge to engage and get attention for the time I have them. Old books are no longer of interest for the little achievers. We are requesting a storage cart, books, translucent gems and Bendaroos.

Sensory is key to help maintain behaviors in class.

Sensory activities set the stages for success in class. Children want to earn fun play time.

Help me provide my class with extra curricular fun activities. What I have is so old and we don't have enough funds to buy the most recent fun books.

Please help get few sensory items to engage and continue to give them the needs for social interaction. Please help me buy a cart to place my items on it. I don't have enough space and this can work as a little storage for the children's craft and sensory items.

Help me give the kids the fun they deserve to have.
