I teach at a Title one school. We want our students to get inspired and create wonderful art projects. When they see their artwork and projects in the hall, the look of joy fills my heart. They love when they get to showcase all their hard work for everyone to see. Many students do not have the opportunity to have the materials to create wonderful work at home so I love that we can provide the opportunity at school. I have such a creative class this year. They will save the scraps so they can reuse and create artwork at Discovery time. They love that they can use stencils, stickers, markers and other supplies to make a project to take home.
My Project
All of our students love to create projects and use their imagination. By providing them with colored construction paper, it brings their work to life. They love it when they are able to use vibrant colors. The durability that construction paper brings is such a bonus. Many of our projects can be laminated for keepsake value too. Parents will keep many of their creations for years.
In addition to helping students with fine motor skills, having their work displayed in the classroom and in the halls brings a sense of pride to each child.
