Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Middle school can be tough. And middle school in the city is even tougher. My students are asked to navigate the muddy waters of adolescence while competing in the high stakes urban high school game. Most of my students come from minority, low income households and haven’t had access to all the advantages of their higher income peers. I want to help level the playing field.
My students inspire me with their creativity and their curiosity.
I want to make sure they have the materials and the experiences that will prepare them to be successful in high school and beyond.
My Project
Remote teaching and learning are HARD! I love to infuse creativity into my classroom and an iPad and access to more teacher-created materials will help me step up my remote teaching game! I can use the Ipad to create videos and visual elements to deepen my students' learning. I will have multiple ways to interact with small groups and to monitor how students are collaborating. The iPad will provide an extra element of WOW in my lessons! The TPT gift card will allow me to access teacher-created/teacher-tested materials that are designed to be successful in the virtual classroom.
These items will help me be a better teacher in the digital world!
