My Project

My students are super sweet, silly, and fun. They love a really good art project, especially when they get to be so hands-on to create anything. Art projects are fun for my students because they get to use their own creativity and imagination to create art projects that they're proud of.

More supplies in the classroom will help students build more art projects because they're very interested in designing things that they get to showcase to the entire school and to bring it home to share it with their family.

My students love that art can be very simple to complex. This year they have experimented using a variety of materials, such as pony beads, boba straws, yarn, paint, glitter, and tissue tissue paper. The list of supplies are endless because students can pick up any kind of art material and create something with their hands.

Art is a supplement to learn literacy about math, science, and social emotional learning. My students have created many projects to relate their learning. They used technology and typed up a paragraph about what they will be like when they become 100 year olds to celebrate 100 days of school. They were very happy to print out their "old" pictures. They also created Lunar New Year art project using boba straws as fire crackers and glitter to design the Chinese word, Fu. My students love expressing themselves through art learning about literacy.
