This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The light table and manipulatives will give my Pre-K students access to new opportunities. Preschool-aged children are effective STEM learners due to their innate sense of wonder and curiosity.
Curiosity is at the heart of all innovation!
As an educator, I can help children harness and direct this interest in exploring the world around them; the more motivated these students will be to uncover the answer they seek.
My students are part of Corona-Queens as part of a majority-immigrant district. It is home to many languages and cultures, most prominently from Latin America. Each one brings in their own learning experiences from home to the classroom.
