Sharing the love of learning was the reason I became a teacher. The group of students I have the pleasure of working with share this same love of learning with their out-of-the-box thinking. I am privileged to work at a school that allows teachers to be flexible and create one-of-a-kind lessons. My class thrives on hands-on, problem-based learning type of activities in order to make learning memorable.
These kids keep me on my toes and surprise me every day!
They are able to offer specific examples and make life connections to our daily discussions. My class has a variety of learning styles and needs, including the need for movement and flexible seating.
My Project
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn." Learning through hands-on experiences will help my students. The students within my class, all have their own unique strengths and weakness, but one thing they do have in common is learning through play.
Remember playing with Lego's as a child, and the excitement you had when you built something you were proud of!
