Creativity in Learning

Help me give my students a Cricut Maker cutting machine so that they can use their imagination and creativity in the classroom.

My Students

I work with a very diverse group of 4th and 5th grade students.

The students come from many different backgrounds, income levels and cultures such as; middle class, economically disadvantaged, and English language learners.

I am honored to have such a diverse group in that each student brings their own backgrounds and experiences to the classroom. My students have such imaginations and creativity. I feel like they are pushing themselves to learn more and more each week. We work on science concepts, engineering, technology, writing, teamwork and communication skills.

My Project

I am requesting a Cricut die cut cutting machine. The machine connects to a computer and can cut out virtually anything that a student can think of such as paper airplanes that can be used in a scientific investigation.

Our class can use the Cricut by to help enhance learning by creating a variety of hands on manipulative s in our science class.

My students will be very excited to create their own objects to use in scientific or engineering investigations. My hope is that they will use their creativity to further their knowledge of the natural world.
