Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The art and music supplies in this project will help our band and orchestra members get started creatively right away this school year! The valve oil will get our brass MOVING - literally to make the trumpets, baritones, and tubas work properly after a dry summer here in Arizona! The stick bag will also be helpful because we have a new drummer playing tenor drums which have never been used before. He needs a way to carry his sticks!
When we use the cards, glue sticks, and markers to share messages with each other and our community, it will also help the kids create their own unique cultural identity for the year!
We use the luggage tags to make sure everyone can easily find their own instrument in the classroom and on field trips. It is important to mark the cases so people do not share instruments. These colorful tags will give students another way to express themselves and take ownership of their musical journey.
