My Project
Fine motor skills support writing, drawing, and a myriad of essential daily tasks like brushing teeth. Having strong and dexterous fingers is a prerequisite for writing.
Fine motor skills develop rapidly in preschool aged children, and they continue to develop throughout childhood.
School aged children also need opportunities to practice their fine motor skills.
These beautiful beads will be a hit with my students! Threading beads of various sizes will strengthen their thumb and forefingers, the muscles needed for holding a pencil, or any small tool such as a paintbrush or screwdriver. Also on the list are pipe cleaners, pompoms, macaroni, and other craft supplies. These fun and engaging projects will last us all year long, helping students enhance their fine motor skills as they create art.
