Creativity and Cultural Exploration Within Art

My Project

Thank you for taking the time to read about this project! Your support means the world to my whole school, students and staff alike. We are truly grateful for all the opportunities you are giving our students! I would love to introduce new projects and techniques to my students.

I am requesting cyanotype paper for 5th graders to create art and make connections to science (heat, sun, and chemical reactions).

I would also like to have students explore art making from different cultures and nations. With the gyotaku printing kit students will explore mark making, how art is used not only for beautiful things but also for documentation. They will also learn about the Japanese culture and art. Kwik Stix and Blick tempera paint sticks will be used for various projects like self portraits throughout the year.
