Help me give my students basic school supplies of construction paper sharpeners, dry erase boards and STEM activities to let their creativity flow in classroom.
We are a small school that has an enrollment under 200 students. As a school we practice inclusion. I am one of 2 second grade classrooms. My students thrive on hands on activities. Whether it is an art project or using manipulatives to assist in their understanding and learning. The students are thoughtful, creative and full of questions. They come to school every day with a positive attitude and ready to take on the day. I am extremely fortunate to be able to work with them every day.
My Project
These materials will help my students focus on learning; not whether or not they have the necessary supplies. It will also ensure that all the materials are in working order and are ready to be used on a daily basis. The use of white boards is a daily activity in my classroom that provides students with to share and explain their thinking and reasoning with one another. White boards are used for multiple subjects such as reading, math, social studies. The white boards also allow me to see their work, thinking and where they are struggling or having difficulty. White boards are an integral part of our daily classroom routine.
