My Project
My students are incredibly imaginative, resilient, and full of untapped creative potential. As middle schoolers growing up in a Title 1 school, many face challenges outside of the classroom, but when they step into the art room, they come alive. They are hungry for opportunities to express themselves, tell their stories, and see the world in new ways. I love how they support one another’s creativity and take pride in learning new techniques, even when it’s hard. Their curiosity and passion for visual storytelling inspire me every single day.
This project will provide digital stylus pens for our class iPads, transforming how my students engage with digital art.
Right now, they’re using their fingers to draw, which makes it difficult to produce the detailed, quality-level work they dream of creating. These stylus pens will give them more control, precision, and confidence, allowing them to sketch, shade, and illustrate with intention.
For many of my students, this will be their first time using tools that real digital artists and designers use. It’s more than just a stylus; it’s a bridge between their creativity and future careers in art, design, and technology. Your support helps us make art education more equitable and empowers 100 young artists to build digital skills that matter in today’s world.
