My Project

All of my diverse first grade students enjoy hands-on activities. Building and creating a variety of things with a variety of materials will excite and allow them to develop problem solving and collaboration skills. They need opportunities to read, plan, construct, and evaluate their creations. First grade students learn best by doing, by being active participants in their learning.

These STEM kits will provide varied opportunities for my students to plan, create, and evaluate their creations while also collaborating with peers.

My first grade students will also be learning how to work together and share. With students in small groups collaborating, they will be learning life skills as well as enhancing their critical thinking skills.
