Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my first year teaching prek 3 and our classroom doesn't have STEM tools. These materials will help my three year olds develop the skills necessary to build on their creativity, socialization and critical thinking skills.
Three year olds are very curious about the world around them.
They enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together again. My goal for this project is for students to have an opportunity to engage in fine motor skills in using toy drills to screw and unscrew.
Many of my students are from low income homes with very young parents. Having STEM items in my classroom will encourage students to build on there creativity and critical thinking through play.
