This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager learners who come into the classroom looking to explore something different everyday. My students need these LEGO sets to help them develop problem solving and critical thinking skills needed to be successful in school and in life.
The STEAM Park Lego Pack, LEGO letters, and Storytales with Storage are learning aids that will help my students understand math concepts sequencing, understand science concepts like force and motion and literacy concepts like letter and sound recognition along with acquiring vocabulary necessary for oral development.
These activities will be used daily in whole group. small group and Center time. The students will also use these sets to learn along with a friend or during independent learning time providing my students with continuous enrichment activities. These LEGO sets also come with an app for the ipad and a teacher's guide to make teaching with these materials inclusive for all students regardless of academic level. The seats will be used throughout different centers and give the students to develop autonomy by being able to decide where to sit. The different LEGO sets will further help my students develop autonomy because my students will have choices of what to play and learn with. With your help my students can further critical thinking and problem solving skills in no time with these fun activities.
