Art allows students to become critical thinkers, showing their creativity by using what they have learned to further their understanding of what is being taught.
Coming from homes with little to no income, I have 30 + students.
I am fortunate to see some amazing talent. Unfortunately, with budget cuts our opportunities to purchase supplies have become a problem. I think it's so important to allow students to show off and have their talents and cultural backgrounds shine in their creativity. Giving my students the opportunity to explore their creativity is my number-one goal. However, without basic supplies it can be challenging.
