Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The empty space near my classroom is not being utilized to its full potential. Art tables would fill the space and provide another environment for my students.

These tables would allow the students at my school to have their creativity shine and encourage student collaboration and sharing with the classrooms!

When students are allowed to be creative, they become more involved in the task given to them. Smooth surface tables will contribute to the lessons by allowing students the space to work and craft masterpieces to be displayed in the school. Our rooms have regular desks that do not provide the surface area needed to work easily. This area would also help students excel who may not be academically inclined. Creative thinking is very critical for our students because it incorporates multiple skill sets.
