Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school library is a place where students come to relax and play during their lunch break. Students enjoy playing chess, building with Magna Tiles and playing UNO. It is wonderful to see students engaged and having fun (even the "grown-up" 8th graders)! I also have a CLS (comprehensive life skills class) which visit the library each week. These students especially love building with blocks and Magna Tiles and I am excited to be able to offer a variety of materials for them to use. I have included, many tried and true favorites, such as chess and UNO card games, as well as some new additions to my DonorsChoose wish list.
