The cabinet I use to store my art containers was gifted to me by a student's family that was moving. I got her high school graduation announcement last spring. She entered my class at 3, which means that the containers are at least 15 years old. No wonder they are falling apart!
I desperately need to replace these containers before I have a closet full of runaway google eyes, beads, sequins, feathers and other embellishments.
I do a lot of hands-on with my students, some of whom for which stringing beads is a challenge. Having a variety of materials for the children to work with, and most importantly, that are organized and easy to access, makes a huge difference in their level of engagement and delight with their finish project.
In addition, I make my own stencils for art projects and need replacement cutting blades. The towels will be decorated with the kids' art work, hand prints and/or stencils and given as holiday gifts to our families, as well as, to the cafeteria workers, custodians and therapists who kindly help our class every day.
