Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's time to get creative! This spring our school's after school program for English language learners will fosters creativity through different projects indoors and outdoors.

We will use these art materials to create different projects to celebrate nature, ourselves, and our journey learning English.

We will develop pride by having students design and create a t shirt for our after school program that the students will get to wear and keep. We will study different plants in the school garden. Then students will use acrylic paint to create a stencil canvas bags with a leaf or flower design on it that they will get to keep. We will investigate soil and rocks. Then students will use the acrylic paint pens to design decorative rocks for the garden, including labels for different plants. The other requested materials will protect and seal the artwork for longevity.
