Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach a full day Kindergarten class. I have 28 students. We are working hard this year on becoming writers. Everyday we write in our journals and illustrate our stories to share with our classmates. My students work very hard on creating stories to share with their classmates. I have many budding artists in the class. I would like new crayons, markers and pencil boxes for each of my students. I think every child deserves a new box of crayons and I think that they would work even harder if they had new materials to use. I want them to take pride in their work. I feel bad that I am unable to provide them with new crayons and the school does not provide them either. Please help my students become future authors by providing them with new materials.
