Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The stools will be the 'thing' that I believe will take my students to another level. The students enjoy being able to seat in the ' teachers chair', so creating a special place designed for writing will help the students become more creative, the students will have all 'anchor charts in this space and the designated space will allow my ELL and SPED students to be creative privately. I am ready to bring writing to another level for our students. The writing center will also service as a safe place for students that need time for reflection, our school is SEL, writing can be used for trauma reduction, self expression and self reflection. I want my classroom to be a model fir other teachers in my building, to introduce a different level of writing, creative writing and self expression through writing.
