Creative Way: ABC Binders for Our Unique Projects

My Project

I am requesting 25 3-inch binders for my PK classroom to organize and store children's unique ABC projects. This year, I am fortunate to work with 20 refugee children from Ukraine and Russia. They are all new to the USA and are finding their place in my classroom. They are creating projects for each of the alphabet letters while learning the new alphabet. Having the binders would allow them to store their work in an easy, functional, and accessible way in our small classroom. Children could independently access them and share them with their peers and parents. This would lead to independent social interactions among the younger children who are just learning the new language and appropriate social behavior in the new country and the new school. The main goal of our instruction is to teach our children communication skills to be able to express their wants and needs

Having the binders allows them to take ownership of their learning and create a safe place to foster their uniqueness.
