Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am so grateful to have this opportunity to give my students new and "fancy" supplies for their creative side. I use a lot of the big stickies to have my creative students create posters and visuals for our lessons. Many of my lessons/units end in some sort of visual that I then display around and outside of the classroom.
My students are proud to see their creative hard work displayed and I am proud to show the amazing work my innovative and ingenious students create.
It is a powerful thing when I can bring my lessons to life through the students and their vision of what they have learned. With letters, stickers, construction paper, markers, pens, and colored pencils, my students can create magic on paper
Then at the end of the day, games and crafts bring it together. Being able to have some quiet alone time or play with their friends, assists my students in their community or in their own space (without their phones!)
