My Project

Elementary kids love creating with hand sewing and when they have the opportunity to sew their own pillows and stuffed animals it is pretty magical. I do this project with third and forth graders and it is a nice memento of their elementary years at our school.

I am in need of some new supplies that I can reuse every year and a few disposable supplies that kids will take home with them.

I need new cloth cutting scissors for kids. My present scissors are old and the kids have trouble cutting cloth with them which can be very frustrating. The last thing I want is to present anything that is more difficult to learn how to do because the tools I have are not good enough to do the job. I also need the polly-fill for the stuffing of their creations once they design their creations and cut their own cloth and sew them theirselves. This is a great end of the school year project that students look forward to. These supplies will help the kids self confidence which is one of my goals as an art teacher.

Please help in providing tools to do a project that is already challenging due to our school not having an art room and my desire as an art teacher to provide kids with experiences that they will remember.
