Creative Supplies for Kindergarten Collaborative Classroom
My students need crayons, pencils, construction paper, and any other art supplies. Because of the budget cuts, we have none of these. Please help us have a good year!
My students live in Los Angeles. They are just beginning their academic life and need additional support to make this year and every year ahead a rewarding, creative, and enjoyable experience.
Our classroom is a kindergarten collaborative consisting of students with special needs and their general education peers.
Some of our students have autism, ADHD, or a Specific Learning Disability and have trouble focusing or staying on task for an extended amount of time. My room partner and I team teach and meet the needs of all students with high academic expectation. Living in a large district, our student often don't have access to materials that would be readily available in a smaller one.
Part of the budget that has been cut for elementary is art and art supplies like these markers and paints. It's so important to inspire our students with creativity, color, and personal expression. Our children deserve to have a rich experience every year, not just the ones that have the budget for art supplies.
These students are so impressionable and deserve every opportunity to achieve their true potential.
Those with special needs require a more tactile experience that would be provided with additional supports like art supplies.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
