Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students will use colorful new supplies to connect to books read in the library. For example: After reading Dia de los Muertos books, students can create monarch butterflies using colorful tissue paper and chenille sticks. Students will sit in cooperative groups using the velcro dots.

Tactile projects cement learning!

Students will make connection with books we read together to fun, exciting personally created creations. Having new supplies and materials brings respect and honor to the students. I am excited to see with colored pencils and markers t what students will create that will be unique and from their mind and heart.
