Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a space for creativity and exploration is important. Both fine motor skills and gross motor skills transfer to the classroom in many ways. In first grade, students learn to read and write. Practicing hands on skills helps build confidence with this.

Giving students the opportunity to create something new with a peer allows them to learn to work together.

It also gives our English as a second language students the opportunity to practice new language skills they are learning in the classroom. Students need the opportunity to talk and work together in many ways. Using these tools like blocks, shapes and more allows them that opportunity.
