This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The impact of social-emotional and mental health on our students has drastically increased. At a young age, students already do not know how to navigate these big and changing emotions, they are experiencing. Post-Covid, these feelings and thoughts have changed in a way that even adults are having challenges understanding.

I want to provide a space for students to be able to not only express but learn how to understand and navigate through these emotions and feelings.

Through Mindful moments and Purposeful Body movements, these students will be able to healthily navigate and work through their emotions. These social-emotional skills will provide a foundational framework to support them throughout their adult life.
