My Students

My students come from a small rural area in Illinois. Even though they come from a small rural area, there is some diversity. Students learn in combined grade level classrooms. However 2nd grade comes to me for their math, reading and writing while another teacher has 1st grade during that time. I also get 4th and 6th grade for math. So there are some subjects where the grade levels are split up.

They are helpful, kind and amazing!

When it comes to their academics, they are dedicated to doing their best. They inspire me to be the best teacher. I strive to give them the best learning environment and tools to make them successful.

My Project

Students do not always learn the best just by sitting at their desks. They need spaces, flexible seating, to be able to spread out in the room to learn. They can use the grey rug to spread out on the floor to read and complete work. Students can use the Go Anywhere chairs to sit around the room in small groups using strategies to benefit their learning. along with flexible seating. While they are using the flexible seating option, the foldable desk will give them a good work area to complete their task!
