We are a wraparound classroom, consisting of two groups of 26 kindergarten students ages 5 and 6 years old. We serve a variety of families by providing a high quality experience. Many of our students have other risk factors such as a single parent, living in an unsafe area, and many more.
The students are very hands-on and love learning through play.
All of our students are getting ready to move into first grade. We want to introduce them to a fun filled year that they will remember and share!
My Project
I would love to add more flexible seating options in my classroom. I find that more and more of my students have issues sitting still. I brought in an exercise ball from home, and the students loved it! We also have one wobble stool and the students love it, too.
I would love to have additional exercise balls and wobble stools along with other options to help my students engage more in the classroom.
I have looked online and researched other flexible seating options. And I'm excited to have more options for my students to better accommodate their needs and to help them succeed in our classroom.
