This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My high school engineering students are hungry to learn. They are thinkers, problem-solvers, creative, and ambitious. They have so many ideas and they enjoy meeting other students with their same passion.

They love inventing new ideas and helping out their community.

They are constantly preparing for college and are seeking to improve their leadership, communication, and team building skills.

I love that my students are self-driven and eager to share their ideas and designs to improve their futures and others.

My Project

My students will use the House Framing Kits to design houses to compete in the TSA regional and state contest. The house framing kits will allow them to express their engineering abilities. Students learn first hand how the design process works. The design process prepares students for their future careers. They also learn essential life skills to become successful citizens in their community.

Students take pride in their design, work countless hours and enjoy collaborating with others.

They also get the opportunity to see life outside of their small town. This year, they've set a goal to make it to nationals.
