This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
To a preschooler, having the time to be creative rates nearly as high as going outside to play. In my classroom, I strive to have my students know that it's okay to create however they see fit; process over product.
In an integrated preschool classroom, we may have a student who will make an intricate piece of art and a student who just draws a line on a piece of paper.
All students are equally proud of their work, as they should be.
Using art in the classroom allows all students to feel accomplished and creative, even if they struggle in an another area of school. Students are able to grow their fine motor skills, their imagination, and working on social emotional skills such as sharing, patience, and working in a group.
