This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, integrating technology is essential for providing a dynamic and engaging learning experience. When I develop curriculum, my focus is on drawing in the students who may feel the most uninterested in the subject. However, doing so often requires hours upon hours of brainstorming, research, storyboarding, writing, and revising for each individual topic before a lesson can be delivered.

As an educator committed to fostering creativity and intentionality in student activities, I am requesting this iPad for planning and executing effective teaching strategies.

Having a tablet will allow me to visually brainstorm and compile research notes, while having all of my notes in one accessible and organized space. Moreover, I will be able to use this tablet to support students 1:1 during independent work time. Since my main work laptop is often used to project the day’s slides and cannot be unplugged from the smart board, having an iPad with me while I check in with students will allow me to provide in-the-moment scaffolds to students as I can model instructions or review previous slides with that individual student. In short, this device will not only support in instructional planning, but will also be invaluable as a classroom resource to support my student’s learning.
