My Project

I serve 50 4th grade students from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. My students are creative, full of energy, and full of eagerness to learn new concepts. Even though we are from a small town, they have BIG aspirations!

It is one of my top priorities to provide my students with an engaging and fun environment in which to learn.

Unfortunately, our school doesn't have a Music or Arts program. These subjects are introduced in the classroom as we get time. I truly enjoy watching my students when they are given the opportunity to create something using arts.

I would like to ask for materials to enrich the Music and Arts lessons taught in my classroom. Some of these materials include markers, hot glue sticks, playdoh, and laminating sheets. One way I would use these materials would be to talk to my students about different art mediums (materials that we create or draw with). My students also like to see their work displayed in the hallways. I am asking for bulletin board paper, and hot glue sticks so I can give them a proper place to display their finished products.

By donating to this project you will be ensuring that my students have supplies available to make learning fun. When you can keep a child engaged in their learning, you are able to reach their fullest potential.
