This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their neighborhood and school community.
Many of my students do not have access to online learning that is currently happening.
Many are dependent upon worksheet packets and the very few books they may have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, I want them to continue to be the eager learners of my First Grade classroom.
My Project
Please help me give my students creative art materials to have at home while distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My students need a variety of art materials to help make their remote learning a little more exciting.
My students need materials such as this in order to make learning at home more exciting for them.
It may not be our classroom but it just may encourage them to do a little more! Many are already from very low-income homes and suffering financial hardships, having materials such this may lessen the burden of trying to provide for their families. These materials will be delivered to my student's homes.
