Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In pre-k we learn through play. The students in my class come in every day excited and ready to learn new things! They are eager to play with their friends. They are eager to play with materials that are not available to them on a daily basis at home.
Seeing their faces glow when they see new things in the classroom makes my day.
Eighty percent of the students come from immigrant households. The majority of the students' parents do not speak English at home, which makes communication that much harder. We strive to make the home to school transition as fun as possible for them daily.
My Project
Prek is all about free play, socialization, and creativity!. The materials I am asking for are mainly arts and craft supplies and supplies to be able to display their wonderful creations around the classroom for all to see. We need construction paper, bins to store the materials, lamination machine to preserve their work to last a lifetime.
There is no limitation to how far creativity can go.
The art the students make are memories to last a lifetime. Every student is different, so why not display who they are how they want. We want every student to be proud of what they make.
