This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
If I had known on March 13, 2020, that we would not have traditional school for the remainder of the school year, I would have put together materials for my students to continue working on their goals. My students were unable to get pencils, notebooks, and other belongings from their desks.
Please help me get materials to my students who may need more than virtual learning.
I would like to provide them with the materials to create various products to demonstrate their learning. I will use these materials in combination with virtual teaching for enrichment and teaching new material.
My Project
Students will use these materials to demonstrate understanding of topics through creating a variety of products. I will give rubrics with requirements and ideas for products. Possible products students will be encouraged to make with these materials are: diagrams, posters, comic strips, journals, and booklets.
Providing students with these materials will give them a break from screen time and an outlet for dealing with an array of feelings during this difficult time.
They will share these products during our virtual sessions and teach one another about important concepts and points of view.
