Creative Lego Wall

My Students

My students are curious about learning new things. Their love of reading keeps the library buzzing with activities. I especially enjoy watching a student who is curious about a specific topic use the online library catalog to find a book that covers their interest. Self-directed learners are prepared to face new educational challenges.

Teamwork is a theme that stands out at my school.

It can be difficult to help every student; however, other students step in to help each other. Student collaboration is important in reaching educational goals.

My Project

My students are exploring and gaining new skills in our library makerspace. A new LEGO Brick wall will add another dimension to our building. Students love to create, and they will be able to watch their creations grow over time. I like the fact that the structures can stay put on the wall without cleaning up after each new group. This adds a community building feel to the project.

I like the fact that the peel-and- stick baseplates are ready to put directly on the wall.

The LEGO Brick idea book will provide inspirational designs. The new LEGO Brick wall will free up building space so that other students can use the Brackitz construction set on the current table space. By going vertical, the makerspace will have more room to accommodate more students.
