My students need 2 iPads with heavy duty cases so that we can work in smaller groups and get more hands-on time. We also need a charging station and adapter to keep things running smoothly.
In any given week I see all 507 students at our school as their classes come through the library. We have a very diverse group in backgrounds, interests, and abilities. What we all have in common is a desire to learn and a wish to have fun doing it.

The school library has changed and we want some of the amazing opportunities that are out there represented at Barkstall.
My Project
Currently, we have 6 iPads in our library. This is great, but with 24-25 students in each classroom, this requires students to work in groups of 4, and sometimes even 5! With 2 additional iPads, charging station, and cases we could bring that down to 3 person groups, with the occasional 4th member. This will mean more hands-on time for each student, and with such a short time in the library each week, we want to be able to offer as much hands on time as possible.
iPads are such a versatile and incredible tool for students, there is little they can't do!
This year alone, students have used iPads for coding, creating short movies, photography, digital scavenger hunts, and more. In the past, I have used iPads to create water cycle movies, public service announcements, digital books and more. The opportunities are endless!
