My Project
Art cultivates students creativity and allow them time to practice critical thinking skills.
About 75% of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch, and many students of my students are English language learners.
My job is to provide students as many experiences as possible while they are in my classroom. Each day, my students enter our classroom with a big smile. They come to school to learn and to experience something new every day. I offer non-traditional, hands-on experiences as well as other effective strategies. There’s 7 different languages spoken in my classroom . Art indeed serves as a universal language that can empower students to express themselves in unique ways, regardless of their linguistic or socio-economic backgrounds. Providing access to art supplies not only enriches students' learning experiences but also empowers them to become more self-directed learners who are curious, creative, and confident in seeking knowledge and expressing themselves.
