My students need paint, glitter, brushes, art smocks, feathers and gems to create beautiful masterpieces.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Rusk's classroom raised $499
This project is fully funded
Special needs students have a need for special learning fun. I am a special education teacher. My students have a wide range of disabilities from speech and language needs, emotional disturbances and autism. My room is called a cross-categorical class. I work with three and four year old students. Around 95% of the children who attend my school receive free breakfast and lunch.
We are desperate for art supplies that will help add pizazz and vibrancy to our learning projects. My students learn by doing. Art is used to help teach all other curriculum areas.
The best thing about art supplies is that they will be used to help teach other basic concepts in an exciting manner. My children love to be creative and there is not enough funding to provide the "extras" that most schools take for granted. Brightly colored paint, brushes, glue, glitter, craft sticks, feathers, jewels and rolls of paper are needed.
Your donation through Donors choose enables me to provide fun hands-on materials that motivate my children's learning. Keeping learning fun and creative for the children allows learning to be fun. Using art to provide extra practice with our reading, math, science and social studies curriculum allows the children to think they are having fun and not realize how much they are actually learning.
