Special needs students have a need for special hands on learning fun. I am a special education teacher. I have been teaching for 23 years. I enjoy watching my students grow and learn. My students have a wide range of abilities. My room is called a cross-categorical class. I work with three and four year old students. Some of my children have autism, other emotional disturbances, cognitive and speech and language difficulties. Around 95% of the children who attend my school receive free breakfast and lunch. My school is located in a high poverty area. The generosity of people donating through Donors Choose has allowed my class the opportunity to work with materials we never could have afforded on our own. I am truly grateful for the continued support.
