This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In order to ensure that each student is given an equitable opportunity to learn and have access to tools that will facilitate their learning I requested the following items for this project. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them each access to their own developmentally appropriate materials. Jumbo pencils and crayons allow small hands to have a better grip while writing. The printer will allow my students to print activities and drawings that they have worked on using the classroom Chromebooks. This will allow them to see their work displayed and motivate them. The laminating sheets will help to protect their work.
I will also use some of the items in order to put together activities for the students.
I will also use the printer and laminating sheets to create centers for the students to learn and explore. The sentence strips, mounting tape, stapler, adhesive Velcro dots, and the paper cutter will be used to make center games for the students to work on in small groups. The geometric blocks will also be used during center time so that the students can explore. I would like to be able to give the Dr. Seuss pencils to my students as rewards for staying engaged.
